We can use “to hear” when we percept a sound, mostly unintentionally.
”To hear” použijeme, keď zaznamenáme nejaký zvuk, zväčša neúmyselne.
E.g: I can hear the birds singing outside my window.
Napr.: Počujem spev vtákov za mojím oknom.
We can use “listen to” when intentionally focusing on and paying attention to the sounds around you.
”Listen to”sa používa, keď sa úmyselne sústredíme na zvuky okolo nás.
E.g. Please, listen to what I have to say.
Napr.: Prosím, počúvaj, čo chcem povedať.
